Here you can find a technical article which describes how you can modify resources (CPU and RAM) of a deployed VM, outside the re-configuration limits of the blueprint.

The out-of-the-box solution would be to try to run a reconfiguration Day 2 operation through vRrealize Automation portal, but this would limit you to the limits that are defined by the blueprint.

The article below provides a way to overcome this, through running custom day 2 resource actions for the CPU and RAM resources of the VM.
