I have just posted a new technical article where I describe how it can be updated the self-signed SSL certificate that by default is installed to the VMware vRealize Operations Manager (vROPs), with another SSL certificate that is signed by another external CA-authority - in my case the new SSL certificate was signed by GoDaddy CA.
